Matrix grey formulas?

Matrix grey/silver formulas?
Can grey be put on without a white base or is a white base 100% necessary?
I know it can go green but didn't no if there was a darker grey formula

I'd say you need at least a very pale yellow base. Then matrix colour sync 8v is good and won't go green as its violet
