I have a client who returns every two weeks. Every visit she has lost her left thumb nno together with approx another 2.

The overlay is not lifting, it is literally popping off - she has even bought us in the overlay intact and not damaged.

We have checked, double checked and triple checked all prep. We have tried biosculpture, INI, CND and just lately brisa. All are behaving in the same way.

Her natural nails present as healthy. However she does take medication for high blood pressure and is also on statins. I have other clients using similar medication who have no problems at all. Cant think of any other reason for this popping off so any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks

My mom takes high bloodpressure meds and as long as her actual blood pressure is in check she is fine and can keep an overlay till the end of time but as soon as her blood pressure gets out of whack they start popping off!! So it's not necessarily the medication but her actual health issues I suspect. Hope this helps.

Hi Elaine

Frankly, I'm not convinced this is a medication issue - the fact is, it's always the same thumb..! This in my experience is almost always a repetitive stress issue... She may have a bad habit (I'm going to assume she is probably left handed)

If you can I would suggest getting some photos of the nail plate when she comes in, post them on there and some of us will take a look for subtle trauma signs....
