Has anyone’s brushes bristles melted when using a professional hair drier?

I've had paddle brushes disfigure because they're not supposed to be used for drying really.

As far as round brushes though not really. I remember when I was training the bristles on the cheap brushes we get in our kits seemed to become shorter and shorter the more they were used though

If it’s getting hot enough to melt bristles, you’re holding the dryer too close and/or too high a heat.

Is it definitely the heat doing it? I find barbecide kills my denmans! It softens the bristles and then when you use them to blowdry the bristles get disfigured. I now don't leave them in there, I put them in for the 10 minutes which is the minimum and then I take them out.
