Metal stud adhesive

Hi

I find adhering metal studs very hit and miss. What do you use to keep them in place? I mainly do photoshoots so won't be using Gel .. The conical pointed studs are the worst at keeping in place. Advice please peeps xx

Iv set them with a little bit of acrylic before or structure gel
