Hi Geeks!! Long time no speak. I hope you are all ok.

I am after your opinions lol its been bugging me all day and i'm hoping you can answer my questions for me. I went xmas shopping today and decided to treat myself by having my nails done in a salon called "mint" I have the say the salon was lovely really really nice and the girls were great too. I love having my nails done just to see how other technicians work. Anyway 80% of it was the same as I would do. The only thing that differed is after applying creative cuticle remover and removing any tissue from the nail plate I was asked to place my hand in a bowl or solution. To me it looked like soap and water (bubbles) what would that be?? My only guess is Citri-soak because as far as im concerned thats all that can be used to remove cuticle remover. I was just unaware you could use the product in this way thats all and wondered if anyone else did it.

Look forward to your replies!!!

I use a little spray pump bottle with citrisoak in. But you can get your client wash their hands too. Anything as long as the remover is washed off xx

Hi, i also have a manicure bowl with citrus soak in to one side, which i ask my clients to soak their fingers in before treatment. Then to remove cuticle remover i put some citrus soak on a cotton pad and dip it into the water and then clean the nail plate x x :)

Its actually the water that deactivates the cuticle remover, the citrus soak just makes it a more effective and a much nicer way of removing it! I have on occasions used Scentsations too...

I have a stack of large bowls (£3 or £4 from Woolies!), all with several nice flat pebbles in the bottom. When I have used Cuticle remover, put a bowl in front of the client, give a small squirt of Citrusok in and pour warm water into it in front of them, from a big glass jug, run just before the client arrives. They rinse for a moment or two, and I then hand them a fresh towel and put the bowl to one side for cleaning later.

They think its a wonderful touch....most say that not only are my nails good, but they love the way I make things feel so pampering and nice, and thats part of the 'feel-good' factor that makes them come back, time and time again...:)

WOW!!! What a great idea! Will definately adapt my routine in future. This is why I love this site so much!! Thank you all!!

After cuticle work, with remover, I ask the client to soak in manicure bowl, with citrus soak, for a short time, then dry off with a towel.

Karaxxx
