Ok, So I probably won't get a whole lot of responses to this thread, but I had to try anyway.

I know that there are a million minx threads, and I have seen other people asking what to charge for there Minx, but most of the answers come from nail techs in other countries, with different currency, so my question is to the nail techs in The US on the East Coast, What are you charging for the Minx and what does it include?

I charge $30 for the fingers and that's with a mini manicure (no soaking or massage) and I charge $40 for the toes with a mini pedicure (no massage or callus treatment) Both services take about 45 mins each.

No one has ever complained about the price, but because I am the only one around doing it, I get people from other states and towns, that have the money to spend. The people in my area are all broke! So I feel like if I put my prices up I may lose local business, which is what I need the most.

So, any input would be great. I hope I don't sound greedy, but minx is the biggest part of my business right now, so I want to make the best of it.

Thanks in advance.

Why not contact Minx and get their take on what technicians are charging?

If Minx is the biggest part of your business then it sounds as if you are doing well as you are. 30-40$ sounds about right to me and it obviously is because people are paying it. If you are getting a good return on your investment (which you are) then I would not take advantage, or in your own words, be greedy.

Thanks to all who responded.

Geeg you're right, I should be thankful for the business I am getting, and not worry about the prices.

Have a great night ladies, and thanks again. I love that I can come here and get advice from all of you!

Hi I am an East Coast Tech.. I am also comparing price. Minx Manicure are normally $55 and the Pedicure are from $70-85. some salons go a mini mani/ and pedi.. and some prep the nails and apply this minx.. i hope this helps

I charge $45 for the hands and $60 for the feet. I have found that I am the least expensive tech in the area.

Hello! I'm on the east coast too. If you don't mind me asking, how does that compare to the price of your manicures and pedicures?
And do you have to do a waterless prep, or can you do a water manicure or pedicure first?

I don't mind you asking. My manicures are $17 and my pedicures are $35. When I apply minx to the fingers, I usually do a dry manicure, and they get pretty much everything but the massage. Same on the toes, but if someone needs a full pedicure with the minx (soaking, callus work and massage included) I charge $50.

I don't like to soak the fingers, I feel like the Minx don't stay as well. That's just my opinion though. It could have been me.

The toes last forever no matter what.

I just have to say that I really love Minx and I am so glad that they are starting to get more advertisement. I have had a bunch of requests these past two weeks for the flowers design because they are in Glamour magazine this month. I haven't had to do any advertising. The Minx do it themselves!!

Yeah, they really have caught on.

I have to confess, a few years ago, a women came in to the spa where I work wearing Minx and wanted to talk to me about them. It was a busy day and she kind of caught me off guard. I honestly wasn't very impressed with the whole idea, but I think mostly it was a case of bad timing.

Looks like she was on to something after all!!

Wow, that's awesome! I wish I could get away with that. And that's still reasonable. I did my research and I found that the majority of Nail techs in the US anyway, are charging anywhere from $35-$50 for the fingers and $70-$80 for the toes. I couldn't believe it. Not many people in my area would pay those prices.

I am the only one around, from what I hear (there are other techs listed in my state, but they aren't offering the Minx) and I have people travel over an hour to get to me. I can't believe it. I actually get more business from people that live out of state or in other parts of Massachusetts. I think the out of towners would pay the higher prices, but the people that live in my area, wouldn't. I figure once my book is always full, I can think about raising my prices, but until then, I'm just leaving them alone. lol

What do you include with your Minx service? A full mani or pedi, or just a mini version?

Hey, I am East coast (USA) sorry I don't do minx, but do you know of any other nail forums that has more from USA?
These girls are awesome, but it would be easier to have a usa board.

I'm in the West Coast and I don't do Minx, but the salon close by to me does and they charge $60 for hands and $80 for feet. Looks like you've got a good deal there!
