Hi
Can any mobile lash technicians tell me how they go about doing consultations - ie do you visit the client 24 plus hours prior to the treatments for patch testing and consultation and if so do you charge for this.
Just trying to work out costings etc and the best way of doing this.
How do you charge for infills as I am sure everyone will be different as some people dependent ont their lifestyle may need almost a new set in 2 weeks whilst others may still have over 50% of lashes.
Do you all do lash tinting with the extensions or leave it up to the client - if you do provide do you do this/can you do this at the same time as applying the extensions or do you need to do this before as if so it would mean additional patch testing for new clients?
Thanks
Sarah x

I do lash extensions mobile and tbh, I'm not enjoying it. If you had a new client that needed their lashes tinted you'd have to visit them 3 times. 1 for patch tests, lashes and tinting, 2 for tinting and 3 for lash application.

hi Sarah, you don't always need to tint the clients lashes even if they are really fair as once you have applied a full set of lash extensions you don't see there natural lashes any more xx

Hi Sarah

Welcome to the world of lashing! I have been doing lash extensions mobile. I usually visit the client and do a consultation and patch test 24-48 hrs before applying full set. I charge £20.00 for the consulatation which is then deducted off the price of a full set.

I only tint if I cannot see their lashes! Otherwise as previously mentioned it is not always necessary to lash fair lashed clients.

If needed, I would tint 24 hrs before the lash patch test. If you find it difficult to visit the clients, then get them to come to you for the consultation, tint and patch tests otherwise charge mileage for it. Another alternative is to ask the clients to go and have their lashes tinted 24 hrs before you go to do the patch test.

If you offer other services such as tanning, its always an idea to patch test for this at same time even if they haven't booked a tan with you, then you have it on record for when they want one!

Some people charge by the week for infills ie £10.00 per week the lashes have been on, others by the hour. I charge £25.00 for up to 1 hour.

Good luck and happy lashing!

Thanks everyone - really helpful.

I was thinking of charging for the consultation and then deducting from the full set - that way I am covered should the client decide not to go ahead.

When you do the consultation for the lashes do you apply some to the outer corners? If so approx how many?

Is there any reason why you couldn't tint and put lash extensions on in same appointment - that way only having to visit the client twice (once for patch/lash test and consultation and second for actual treatment)?

Like the idea of charging per week - how do you word this - do you have a website?

Thanks again everyone - so useful to hear everyone's opinions and fab ideas.

hi Sarah, i plan to take a £10 deposit at time of consultation which will be deducted off the price of treatment. Hoping this will help stamp out no shows and last minute cancellations.
Sorry cant comment on lashing and tinting at same appointment as im not trained in tinting but as for in-fills i plan to charge £25 for 2-3 week fills and £35 for 3-4 week fills.
As for how many lashes i normally apply 4 lashes to the outer corner of each eye just to blend them in a little but would be interested to hear how many others apply.

hope this helps x
