I have been searching through the threads and see that there are quite a few mobile geeks, are there any that live financially comfortable? I work part time and do mobile when I can I make around £100 a week doing this on the odd occasion £200 (not often tho). I am curious as to wether it is possible to build up clients while workin another job or did you just go for it and make it your only income x

You can build up clients whilst working your full time job but there comes a time when you cannot do 2 full time jobs and you will have to make the jump and then build up the rest of your clientelle. This is hard but in my opinion well worth it in the long run. It is just the middle bit that hurts once you are over that you will be laughing! :)

I've been mobile 8 years now and money comes and goes; I have regular clients and a lot of bookings, but some weeks (this one prime example) I don't have that much work til the weekend. I have a part time job in a salon as well, that helps financially and also helps me to get out a bit.

I also enjoy having colleagues after so long on the road on my own! I do know one therapist who works full time on it but you have to push yourself and advertise everywhere. You've got to be very on the ball with it to be able to do full time mobile and have a lot of different skills too eg.. nail tech, massage, beauty so you are opening your avenues to more work. hth's x

i used to work half week mobile half shop.
took the leap and now do just all mobile, i do between £150-£350 a week, two weeks ago i did £700 in on eweek but had to work 63 hours for that:irked:
it prob took 18 months to get this far

i love my job xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks ladies I can imagine it being really hard juggling two jobs and a family but if it worth it then thats what its about. I just wanted to know if people have worked both and made a good clientelle cause right now I need an income so cant give up my job. I must say £700 would be nice the odd week, well done you xx
