Hi geeks, i was just wondering how you geeks record your mileage when you are mobile.

Say for example if you have just one client in an evening do you record the mileage to the client and back home again, or just to the client?

I am doing it there and back home and not sure if this is the right option?

Thanks

Sam

Record the round trip - there and back.

Yep, definitely the mileage both ways - after all you're driving both ways, so will want to make sure you are re-imbursed for every mile you drive.

When I book mileage expenses, I always book both ways!

And the current milage rate is 40p per mile if that's any help?! x

Yes, but only for the first 10,000 miles. Then it drops to 25p per mile.

Thanks guys i thought so i am going to be doing my tax return shortly and wanted to make sure that i was doing my travelling expenses correctly.
