I went to a clients house last night to do a set of wedding nails, opened my new bottle of monomer and it had turned to jelly!!!!! major panic, had to drive all the way home and root around for some more, luckily i had just enough. I got this new bottle of monomer in feb as there was an offer on it. didnt open it till last night and its turned to jelly!!! why would this have happened?? i've rang up and complained and their looking into it for me so hopefully i'll get a replacement.

where did you got it from? what brand is it?
I know of a few who've had this problem, if you got it from an official retailor they should change it

I got it from lena white (OPI)

I know that if you put leftover monomer back in the bottle it can polymerise, but if its a new unopened bottle, thats a strange one!! How have you been storing it?? I think I can recall being told that the liquid can polymerise if its stored incorrectly

absolute new liquid... give her a call, we had this issue and we changed it for free (off course)

yeah, was unopened, thats why im so confused, its just been in a box, no heat, no sunlight. this is how i always store my monomer?? is that correct??

well, for some technical reasons it appeares that sometimes the new liquid (future ex new liquid) can turn jelly... like the Q monomer of Ez Flow...

yes it was the absolute one. ahh maybe a faulty batch??

it is correct. it's not really your fault, usually it happens even before we recieve them, but we cannot open them as they're sealed. and then... well. the AA was a better liquid...

I wish! but if you can, request the AA instead of the AB liquid... that is, the previous absolute one. it works perfectly with the new powders (as here we only sell the AA, because of this jelly issue)

ok i will do, thankyou for your advice. ive never had this problem before with ab, but then again i always have used the bottle almost straight away when ive got it before. even though it says it has a 36month shelf life??? is aa ok to use with the fx colours too???

AA was the "former" absolute liquid. worked with the previous powders, with the Absolute FX AND with the new absolute powders (white, pink)

glad I could help
