Moving your business across the country

I currently work mobile in Berkshire, however am going to be moving off the mainland to the Isle of Wight.
Has anyone moved their business successfully?
I have a large and loyal client base at the moment which I'm reluctant to just up and leave but it has to be done!
The island has SO many hairdressers and salons but as far as my research shows me, no specialist hair extension salons so there's a little niche already. I can't decide whether to go straight into salon space, stay mobile, or rent rent a chair in an existing salon to pick up clients?

And advise would be excellent.
