Is it true that in the summer your hair grows faster? I know the sun has vitamins D but does it really grow more in the warmer weather or is it a myth?

My nails defo grow more in the summer and on holiday, already I've noticed my acrylics growing out faster :) so I'd think hair would be the same

Apparently it's true. I can't offer any proof though.

It was written in my textbook. Dont know if its true but apparently scientific enough for a textbook..

From what I have read it probably does, due to metabolism and hormones. But it's only an increase of about 10% or so, which would only translate into one or two millimeters each month.

Hair and nails grow quicker in the summer due to the vitamin d we get from the sun x

I believe ppl wash more. More stimulation more growth.
