Hi, I am going to start dabbling more in nail art, but I have a couple of Q's.

I learnt some basic nail art at college, does this mean I am qualified? As I am thinking about insurance here. Or would I have to go on another course? The problem with this is that my 2 local training places (at the wholesalers) NEVER run nail art courses, even tho they are always promising me that they will!!! grr!!!

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated, thanks xx

I think that most nail art is down to practise hun and to be honest a course will only teach you the very basics - just go for it xxx

thanks :) I just wasn unsure as to where I stood with regards to insurance, and I did not know if there was some Holy Place Of Nail Art Worship that I needed to be a member of, or forever be frowned upon lol

thank you for the advice :)

Wow, a holy place, thats where I would sign up.
Try ARTNAILS.com, they have some cool training mats.
You can paint your art directly on the sheets and wipe them off and start over.

sorry to be a ditz but does this mean that I do not need any other qualification other than my BTec in order to be insured to do nail art on paying clients?

Hi hun, i didn't get another qualification to do nail art i just practised loads, i don't think it matters insurance wise
xx

There are lots of fab nail art tutorials on this site btw Soda, if you're feeling brave ... go for it!

Don't forget to check out some wonderful nail art in the Geek Gallery too.

thank you, you lovely peeps xxxx

I dont think you need a qualification in nail art to be covered by insurance hun.

I think its probably just down to a ton of practise and your imagination.

good luck x
