Hey all u Nail Geeks..... Need some helpful advice Plssssss:)

I am A NVQ level 3 Qualified Beauty Therapist and am looking in to doing a nail extension course.

I did a course about 3 yrs ago but it was awful! I got sucked into going to a local salon in which the owner held an 8week course ( 1 nite a week ) and attempted to teach 6 of us how 2 do nail extensions!

Basically I ended up paying 300quid to learn how 2 put a nail on and slap sum UV gel over it and at the end she gave me a lovely certificate she did herself on her computer, lol Wat a joke!

Ok, so I have covered manicures etc in NVQ 2 Beauty so when looking to do a course in extensions, do I not need to cover manicures?!:confused: Massively confused as to what sort of course I need to do?

Im mainly interested in doing acrylic ? Is that the best one?!! I no my mum has Creative Nails done? Is this a good company to train with? or will they just teach me how 2 use their products and not actually the correct way to apply a tip and blend etc?

As u can c, I am Really confused ..... could sum1 pls point me in the right direction!?

Charlie :o

it would be good if you could avoid the "sms" words, really hard to understand...

there are a lot of topics also about training, with whom, where, what you need, etc, everything is available on the search option of the forum.

as for which system is best, again, do a little search ;) unless this will turn into a "I love l&p" "well I love gel instead" and so on.

just keep in mind that all the systems are worth it and complement each other whenever you face an issue, such as allergies, or a client's request.

I use L&P and gel. I was trained by Creative and cannot recommend them highly enough. Give Sweet Squared (UK Creative distributor) a call on 0845 210 6060 they will be able to answer your questions.

Thanku..... I Have been looking into Creative and Calgel as I have heard good things about both of them.
But I will call Creative Distributer and fire away! Thanks again x
