Hi, I am new to Salon Geek. I have recently trained with Shellac and bought a nail display ring to produce all my Shellac samples. Do I need to use Scrub Fresh and base coat as it's on plastic, or can I go straight into the colour?
Thank you!

Hi, no need for base coat just colour and top coat. Diane x

Thank you!
I was about to get started but if I don't need base I don't want to use it and waste the money! Have about 50 colours to do so will take a wile! X

I just go straight to colour.

When I started out I completed all steps on my colour pops that I did on my clients but then realised it wasn't necessary. Wish I'd of realised this sooner, it would've saved me both time & money. x x

Lightly buffing the pops with white block buffer before painting gives better adhesion.
Also, I use a different (cheaper) top coat to save my CND top coat - only on the pops of course.
