hi all
i
I know this has been done to death and I have searched the site but whats the differance between the dr700 e file and the dr288 e file also has anyone purchased a dr288 from ebay. I have just done a course on the efile and would like to get one but just for pratice on myself and friends at the moment. Cant start own business yet but want to keep my skills going so dont want to be spending a fortune because I am paying for other courses as well. This is the one which I am looking at on ebay any opinions would be greatly received

im not familiar with this line of e-files. i googled it for you and didnt find anything about the manufacturer or otherwise. my guess is if its brand new on ebay for that price youre going to get what you pay for. a rule of thumb with ebay is if there are severl listings for the same product from the same seller they are usually cheaply made, low quality "knock-offs". i suggest going with a kupa or medicool, both have some very reasonably priced models that are perfect for beginners. for not a lot more money you'll be getting an authentic product from a reputable company, so it's worth your peace of mind at the very least.

Looks like a decent file but if it breaks down you will have some trouble as you will need to ship it back to Shanghai to get the warranty work done - huge expense!

I like that it has a chuck to hold in the bits, and it comes with a foot pedal. Most important part of an e-file (imo) is that the handpiece is lightweight and comfortable and that there is no vibration.

Good luck with it!

I would avoid buying E-Files from eBay in the same manner as I would avoid sharing a bath towel with someone who had a bad case of crabs.

eFiles are an expensive investment and you can get cheap ones from eBay, however it is a false economy as they are more of a 'disposable' type that are not built and designed for longevity, rather favouring cheapness.

Sometimes you just can't beat the old adage: "You get what you pay for" and the amount of unhappy stories I have heard about people buying cheap eFiles from eBay is enough for me to recommend against it.

HTHs!
