What does everybody use for extraction?

Regarding these products, it depends what you want to do. If you want to keep dust from your clothes, probably either product will help.

However, if you are interested to protect your health they won't - because neither unit will capture the smallest invisible dust particles and chemical vapours that will go into your lungs. If you look at the Material Data Sheets for the products you use, many of these will include an Irritant symbol.

But filter systems that do protect health cost between £800-£1200.

BobSweden is right. I have one very similar to those, same idea, and while it does collect a lot of dust, which I can see in the filter, a lot of it still goes everywhere. So while it's fine in my situation, since I do very occasional gel nails or shellac removal from artificial nails, if I was doing them every day all day I would want something much more efficient and powerful.
