Hi was just wondering if you think extensions are as popular as say few years ago or whether clients really want there own nails looking after and prefer au natural now? What is the most you do manis/extensions?

Enhancements for me....There are more manis now i think than a few years ago...but there will always be those who want instant fixes for there rubbish nails..

i'm wondering if the manicure might get more popular. as some people hate the idea of having false nails. thg:)

Thats why i don't promote them as false nails...."they are an enhancement of your own natural nails madam"...

Enhancements are still very popular here in California! Only a few clients like the natural look.

hi I seem to be doing more and more manicures. I have done 2 sets of extensions in the last 3 months. I just do not get asked for them when people ring to book treatments. (going to forget how to do extensions before long ha ha) I do think alot of that is because there is not much money out there at the moment.

Hi over here, it is manicures mainly and natural is the new french when it comes to enhancements for me!

For me I would say that both options are equally popular. Different people will have different needs/wants.

When I first trained with CND I really wasn't sure how much business I was going to get from it tbh but I have been surprised at the amount of people who love this service.

The amount of nail enhancements I do, far outwieghs the Manciures, but they are getting much more popular!
I have a few clients who cant bare to be without their enhancements, so every other re-balance appointment, they have a Spa Manicure aswell!

xxx:hug:

Well seeing that we are about 20 yrs (ok slight exageration ) behind the rest of the country, nail enhancements are still in the novelty stage,so manicures are on the back burner for a while.

AND...

Love it or lothe it...the FALSE nail look is (as opposed to the natural) HUGE here.

xx:hug:xx

For me less than 10% is natural nail manicures.
When it comes to enhancements, the natural-like look is coming, though! Fewer and fewer clients want to wear them long and square p/w's.
Business wise I like this fashion direction.. Single-colour nails are quicker to rebalance and I'm selling more polishes now.
Skill wise.. I would like to do more p/w's in the salon because every set I do is a personal competition practice:)

I absolutely agree with that.
I've got 2 sorts of clients: Those who begun with manicure or just prefer a very natural and clean look but don't have a good natural nail qualitiy. And on the other hand are those who just love nails and nailart and all the possibilities of different and extrordinary designs they have.

ive found that when i explain to clients about gel overlays they normaly go for that rather then extensions,as many of them come in with fairly long nails and if they can get them that long why not strenthen them and have your own?
