Hi nail geeks,
I'm thinking of doing gel nails, however I've rung up CND and Biosculputre and told both I'm NVQ level 2 qualified in basic manis and pedis, however
CND have 1 day course in gel nails for about £250 and
bio sculputre have 2.5 day course ing el nails for about £645

do i really need the 2.5 days or is 1 day course enough? I don't by any means thin i'm the greatest at painting...so wondering if 2.5 day course really helps perfect this?

any advice gratefully appreciated x

I think the CND one your referring to may be a conversion- for existing techs to learn to use CND's products, they will already have Gel training.
As a complete beginner i think you need to start with a foundation course, the best people to give you the most accurate information will be Sweet Squared. You can call them on 0845 210 6060

Also, as someone who completed my foundation 7 months ago and still working on getting it right... 1 or 2 days to learn a system will NEVER be enough! You get what you pay for!

If I understand you correctly then I think you have misunderstood what is on offer at CND, or they have misunderstood your qualification.

The CND one day course for gels is for those who already have done a Foundation course in L&P or another Gel system OR who hold their level 3 NVQ in nails.

You would have to do the complete Foundation course with CND which is 5 days if you have never qualified in nails before and only have the mani pedi qualification. You need to clarify this.

Thanks for the advice. I've already spoken to them and said i'd only done basic mani and pedi on level 2. They are sending me more info re all courses in post so I'll have a read through that. x
