Believe it or not I have come across my first fungus. I was asked if she could polish over the fungus and I told her that I wasn't sure, but that I would find out and get back to her. Does anyone have the answer to this?

what I've been taught in college is always always refer anything that looks like a fungal infection to a doctor and do not attempt to do any manicures or anything as you could infect yourself, spread the infection to the rest of the fingers/other hand on the client and infect your stuff. HTH

It will help you determine if it really is a Fungal Infection or a Bacterial Infection (greenie)...and then how to doeal with it.
Also is this infection on a toenail or a fingernails...because that can make a difference re treatment as well......
