Hi all

I got a new client yesterday. She is nearly 40 years old. She told me that she has never had a set of nails done which have actually lasted. She says she has had Bio sculpure done ( by a very talented nail teck) and they peeled off by that night. She has tried acrylic but same story they lift by that night or next morning. So when I sat down yesterday to give her French L&P - I nearly died! I put white tips on then used the popits with the pink powder over the white tips only to find that the acylic just did not want to bond properly with her natural nail! everytime I released from holding down the popit it lifted. I held it longer same story.

Had another acrlic client straight afterwards and no problems!

she wants me to find out what the problem could be as she would love to wear nails.

please help

Has she got ridged nails? Did you take the shine off of her nail properly?

She may have naturally oil nail plates, which is virtually hard to detect. It may mean trying to sanitize and prep each nail just before you apply it, i know this is long winded, but may be the only way for it to work. I say this because people with this oily nail plates usually produce the natural oil quickly, so by the time you have prepped all 10, the first ones are oily again, so then no adhesion will happen. Could be way off.

Worth trying.:)

How frustrating for both of you!!! I wonder if she has ever had a buff-off gel? Maybe she would have success with that, although it sounds doomed.

thank you all, i just dont know what to do. she really wants me to help her and i would love.

i have found this with one of my friends who's nails i use for trying out new things on. When she's painted her nails before, the polish just peels off within a day. when i first started doing her nails, they used to come off within a day or two (i never had a problem with any of my other clients), this was with buff off Gel and L+P.

I have since been double dehydrating each individual nail before application and they have lasted to rebalance time.

thank you. will try it.
