Hi all, I'm hoping someone can advise me.

A while ago a posted a threat about my nana's injured nail. (http://www.salongeek.com/nail-geek/62832-damaged-nail-help.html - I won't go over the same stuff again so you can have a look at before photos and what happened etc if you want)

Anyway, she's since been to see a specialist, who took a sample of the nail to send for testing. The results have come back clear - no fungal or bacterial infection and she's been given a paraffin cream to apply to it.

She would really like some kind of enhancement applied to it as it doesn't look nice, but I don't know where to start. The nail still has a hole in it from where the sample was drilled out and if you look down the barrel you can see straight through (you'll see from the pictures).

When she goes for a check up next week I've told her to ask the specialist if she can have something applied to it. I just need some advice on what system is best and how to go about it etc.

Any help appreciated!!

you can just about see where the hole goes through on this last one

Although this could be enhanced i would wait a bit longer for it to grow out more,
the nail plate does not look like it is attached to the nail bed very well and if you apply an enhancement i would guess that it would put more pressure on the nail plate and may cause further lifting from the nail bed,
this is just my opinion hun and what i would do with that particular nail hth

ok, so probably wait until the hole has grown out so there's a full nail to attach to?

thanks for your help xx

Yes i would to be on the safe side with that nail as it looks like it would pull away if it got caught and snagged against anything hth

I agree with everyone else, I would give it a while longer to allow the worst of the damage to grow out, especially as the parrafin wax needs to be applied to the nail.
