George Shaeffer, who founded OPI in 1981, has announced that he will be stepping down from his position as CEO. He will, however, continue to work with OPI's management team and guide the brand he has made so successful.

“What at an incredible ride. After more than thirty years, I have decided it’s time for me to move on. At the end of this year, I will become a Strategic Advisor to OPI and will step down as CEO. I do so with a mixture of pride and sadness,” said Schaeffer in a letter to his distributor partners.

Schaeffer, well known in the industry for his philanthropy will take the opportunity to focus on The Schaeffer Family Foundation and other charities he supports.

Until then...geek on!
