London was buzzing last weekend as the world's top nail technicians travelled from all over the globe to compete in The Nailympics London, the nail industry's most creative and hotly contested competition.
After the phenomenal success of last year's event, expectations were high, but this year's competition was on a whole new level. Hundred of nail technicians fought it out for ten trophies and 96 medals. Using the latest gels, wraps and polishes, as well as everything from dried flowers, glitter, rhinestones, 3d stickers and crushed shells, the incredible creativity and originality of each entrant's work blew the judges and spectators away. Spikey talons, double dip two-tone manicures and intricate patterns were everywhere.
Not only were beauty professionals able to witness the world's greatest nail artists at work, they were also able to find out more about all the latest products, treatments and services available, with live demonstrations and goody bags.
It's fair to say The Nailympics London has secured its place as the number one nail event of the year.
Judges
Alisha Rimando Botero - USA
Jewell Cunningham - USA
Gari-Dawn Tingler - USA
Rosy Guiarini - Italy
Mojca Janezic - Slovenia
Reni Mobrandt - Sweden

Jackie O'Sullivan - UK
Marian Newman - UK (Head Floor Judge)
Ketan Patel - UK
Elaine Watson - USA - (Head Judge)
Tracey Boyle - Australia

Kaoru Kawabata - Japan
Until then...geek on!
