Hi, I'm new to this, I need some advice please. I need a new skin care range for salon, use darphin at the moment, have narrowed it down to payot (love it and seems very results driven which is good), matis which I'm using the samples at the moment and am waiting for information pack from Collin Paris which should be in post today. Has anyone used any of these products, what are your thoughts.... Advice etc.......
Many thanks xxxx

Payot reminds me of Lancôme but salon pro range - I've not worked with it but tested a few products in a salon I visited and they were nice, I did ask for details of payot when I opened my spa but never got a reply from them so no idea of costings x

I use Matis in my Salon and very happy with it! Good range of products and I have a fab sales rep! No minimum order either! X

Thank you very much for that, very useful, think will have to sit down with all info and make a list of pros and cons etc........
Xxxx

Can you differentiate the products enough from what you are already using?
I think if you carry more than one range, you need to be sure in your mind why, and what one range can offer against the other!

Never used any of them, so can't comment, just something to think about!

Hi

I have just taken Matis out of my salon, love the products but lack of support (my rep been on maternity leave for a year), training is very rare and very little marketing support, was a difficult decision as the products are wonderful.

I was payot trained about 7 years ago, we used to use it in the spa I work in. Gorgeous products, I found retailing them easy, not sure if it's changed now but there was a lot more facial than body line. The facials were amazing, only reason they got rid of it is because we were using it alongside clarins and elemis, and payot was the least well known. Also using 3 products houses at the same time was brain frazzling lol but I loved it but sadly have not seen it in a salon or spa since! Xx

I don't know much about the other brands, but I did use Payot in school. It's not for me because I prefer natural brands due a host of reasons (but another rant for another day).

However Payot is:

A well established brand with a good reputation
Divine fragrances, they have a radiance range that smells so good like orange chocolate
Award-winning, used by top airlines
Results-focused (not so much as say Priori/Dermalogica but moreso than Darphin)
Noticeable results, especially with the radiance mask, skin was really left glowing
A lot of 'must-have' products e.g.for spots Pate Grisse, No.2 Anti-Redness Cream
Sleek packaging

Although I don't have too much experience with Darphin, I would think that Darphin is a more natural, aromatherapy based range and then Payot would be your more 'results-focused' synthetic/high-tech brand. However similarly to Darphin and pretty much all the brands out there, Payot markets itself to be natural. It's not.

My main concern would be competing with online sales. With Payot readily available online and on feelunique, it might be hard to retail. But as Kathryn has just mentioned, it's not that well known compared to Elemis and Clarins, so that might play in your favour.

xx

Thanks, that's given me a bit to think about....am drawn towards payot for some reason. Xxxx

My colleague who owns the salon I'm based in has been having a similar dilemma. The rep from payot came to see us, left loads of info & samples & the start up seems reasonable. So its coming in salon & we're going to Dublin in 4 weeks to do the training. Very excited about it!

Hi Rianne. i've been Matis skincare for 15 years, so needless to say i think the products are great. Comprehensive range and my clients are addicted. With regards to support i have no problems at all and training is becoming more frequent. Well worth looking at in more depth. Hope this helps. :)

Definitely out of your preferred choices dr payot
However have you thought of adding a cosmeceutical such as puramed professional

MATIS all the way !!!!!!

Beauty at your finger tips!

Hi Rianne,

I hope you don't mind but I'd love to chat to you about our new face and body brand Katherine Daniels Cosmetics.

Not only are the products and treatments affordable for your clients (with fab efficacy results), but we offer flexible launch deals with a great margin on retail products.

If you want any info, please PM me or email me at [email protected] :D Roxie x

PS I also represent Resultime by Collin Paris so if you need any further information other than what's in your information pack, please get in touch!
