After all...

I did my training for all nail enhancements about a year ago... and I still don't feel very confident, I have been practicising a lot...
I still don't get the finished look that I am happy with, and get more lifting that I am happy with.
I learnt Acrylic, Gel and Fiberglass/silk in 4 days, and I feel that I need some more training.

Does anyone have any tips for me??

I don't want to blame it on the products that I am using, because I am sure its more me than anything, I just feel that I don't understand it all well enough...

Help me please ................. :-(

Hi LucyAnne,

I also did a training course for 4 days that covered everything, I just wish I had been on Salon Geek first, as looking back I dont think I would have chosen the route I did. I wont say the course I did was a waste of time, as it has given me some basics and has just made me even more passionate about learning. I am currently saving up to do a Foundation course with CND as I beleive this is the best route for me to take.

Is it possible that you could do any further training that may help?

Hi...

I am the same I would not say it was a waste of time, becuase I can do it, but I am not great at it...

Yes I would love to do some more training, have you spoken to CND, have they adivsed that as you have already done some training??

Thanks
Lucy

First, you are in the right place, joining the nail geek.

My cosmetology license education was 1600 hours. I look back now, and realize I did not learn what was needed to work and actually earn an income.

My first; after school education was with NSI. I was able to build a satisfactory sized clientele with NSI’s advanced acrylic application.
Here and there I have taken just about all the education that comes my way. There is always something to learn.

Years later I did a CND masters course, either 2 or 3 days. I found that the training for this was complete. From the basics to advanced, well worth the time and cost.

Last October I took an OPI cruise. So many options so little time.

My business is thriving, and currently, I am researching my next plan for more education.

Many of the professional product lines offer exemplary education.

I feel the same too. i wish i knew about nail geek before i paid money to do a course. i did a home study course, i got a certificate but just dont feel confident enough to offer the service to people i dont know, even though people comment on my own nails.

Everyone seems to rave about CND and that its the best way to go, but ive paid out so much money for this course another load probably wont go down well with the other half!!

Hopefully i will get better and more confident as i practise.

Hope you find what you are looking for.
