New Day Spa providing all equipment, advertising etc. Fair % rate?

Hi there,

What would you say is a fair percentage rate for a day spa with 2 therapists who would not have to provide anything at all apart from themselves, i.e. uniform, equipment, creams oils powders all provided by spa. What % would you expect to get from the profits as a therapist.

Hi there,

If everything is provided the way you say, shouldn't the therapists be employed rather then working on %?

If they are self employed they would be wearing whatever they wanted and should have some say in products.

If products are provided, generally it is 60/40 split however I've not heard of uniforms being provided before as well but I don't think they'd make much difference to the %, maybe 65/35 or something.

When I worked in a spa I was on a percentage basis. I got 33% of every treatment I did and 10% for all retail I sold. The spa provided everything, I just had to turn up. X
