NEW TO SCULPTING!

HI GUYS

IM HAVE JUST STARTED SCULPTING AFTER HAVING MY HEAD STUCK IN BOOKS FOR DAYS, I USE ODYESSEY ACRYLIC AT THE MIN AS THATS WHAT I WAS TAUGHT WITH...
I DONT FEEL I LEARNED ENOUGH ABOUT SCULPTING ON THE COURSE AND HAVE CONTACTED GRAFTON WHO SAID TO ME WELL BASICALLY ITS HANDS ON AND IMAGINATION

BUT I GET SCARED TO TRY JUST IN CASE I MAKE A TOTAL MESS
DOES THAT MAKE SENSE ?
ANYWAY 3 AM THE OTHER MORNING AFTER READING THE MAGS WITH DEMOS IN FROM THE GEEK, TRANG AND MANY OTHERS I THOUGHT ID HAVE A BASH DESPITE THE TIME I THOUGHT RIGHT LETS GO...

I DID THE FIRST FINGER WAS A RIGHT MESS BUT THE 3RD ONE I DID SEEMED LOT BETTER

IM STILL TRYING TO MASTER THE FORMS AND APPLYING THEM SO THEY DONT NOSE DIVE, ALSO MIXING THE GLITTER POWDERS

I APPLYIED THE FORM APPLIED METALIC SILVER GLITTER POWDER
AND SCULPTED OUT MY TIP AFTER BUFFING AND SHAPING I APPLIED
WHITE POWER TRYING TO MAKE FLOWERS ( WHICH WAS VERY HARD )
AND THEN DROPPED IN A FEW RHINESTONES

APPLIED A SEALER THEN THERE YOU GO

LIKE I SED I DID 3 BUT WASNT HAPPY UNTILL THE 3RD ONE

BUT I STILL FEEL I CANT DO IT RIGHT

I HAVE READ THE GEEKS TUTORIALS

BUT STILL CANT GET MY HEAD ROUND IT

IM ONE OF THESE THAT HAS TO BE SHOWN AND SHOWN LOL

BUT I KNOW YOUR ALL GONNA SAY ITS PRACTISE PRACTISE

NY OTHER TIPS YOU COULD GIVE ME WOULD BE HELPFULL

hiya
sculpting is my favourite method of doing nails
i think you will get on a lot better if you WATCH it done, rather than trying to work it out yourself :shock:

it is a method that is LEARNT, not discovered!

if you can make it to the show at excell, make sure you catch sam doing a demo of sculpting.

also i will b there competeing, so if u want to bend my ear, feel free

i know what you mean about mad for nails

im nails 24/7

i cant watch tv without going on about there nails

shopping everywhere i go im checking out the nails


im 28 next week been doing nails nearly 2 years

just wished id have done it earlier and started straight after school


but i went into travel instead


wish i cud turn back the clock


you never know i may of had a big salon now

bit like that marco benito is it in b,ham lol..

how cool does that look

You are 28 and you wish you could turn the clock back ??? I have been 'into' nails for about a year (in fashion before that) and I am 47 !!!!!!!!!! And you wish YOU could turn the clock back :? May see you at the show too ....... REALLY looking forward to it Oh and by the way, I also find the sculpture thing a real challenge (aka, I WISH I could do it!!!) xx
