Non gel polish with gel manicure

So my nail knowledge is limited to what I was taught in cosmetology school 12 years ago, but I was curious about a gel nail service. If I have a regular holo shimmer polish could it be used with a gel service and when would it be applied? With a standard manicure I apply it last before top coat.

The same as your existing service, but you need to topcoat with whichever topcoat you use over the holo polish, you cannot top with a Gel Polish top coat. The Gel Polish top coat would not adhere to the normal polish and would peel off in a few days.
