Im still learning with acrylics and im slowly building up my collection but was wondered if anyone can help.

I brought some opal shimmer and wanted to mix with some of my other colours what mix do you use? How many scoops opal and how many colour? And do you use the same mix with normal glitter and acrylic power?

Thanks for your help x

Hi Michelle, with opal shimmer it depends what kind of look your trying to achieve. you dont have to use a lot though as it is really effective with just a tiny amount.
When im mixing glitter with powder i do 3 scoops powder to 1 glitter but every one is different.
once your more confident with your products you`ll adjust your mix to what ẁorks for you.
Hope this helps

i am being taught 3 scoops to 1 like debi-dee said...

if you put too much in it looks abit green! haha!

:)

Thanx for that i will have a play 2moz:green:

i always thought it was the 3 parts powder to 1 part glitter rule aswell.
i dont actually mix mine i get a ball of the colour i want and then dip it straight into the opal shimmer.im not saying thats how it should be done but that works for me.if you are really unsure then just phone nsi as im sure they will be happy to help you.x

yeah i was under the impression it was no more than 25% of the mix so i guess that would be 3 parts white say and 1 part opal shimmer did some sculpts on myself recently using that mix and it got me a bit of business cos the effect was gorgeous!!
