Hi, wonder if I can get some advice please.
I am currently working as a Nail Tech. Absolutely love what I do but only seem to be able to fill 3 days. Have been considering extra training.
I have looked into doing NVQ II at local college but I am gonna be the oldest bod there (nearly 43) and I have the patience of a gnat!!!!
I have looked into various acadamy courses which offer fast track, also found distance learning courses (are these actually recognised?). The fast track routes are very expensive though. I currently work from home and wish to continue doing so, do I actually need an NVQ? I don't really want to offer all the treatments you would as a Beauty Therapist coz I have back problems and find waxing very painful for example.
I understand that having an NVQ will be necessary in the future for nail treatments is it the same with others? Or as I love doing nails so much am I better off specialising?
