Haha, well the extension shops are always chavy and cheap. We had the same here, a local "extension specialist" who used to get her hair done by us because surprise surprise she is not a trained hairdresser started posting Olaplex adverts in their Instagram about a month after we were one of the first salons in the UK to get it in, and it was at the time that the stock had all sold out and more people were waiting for it again so there was no way they could of got it. *raises eyebrows*
They make a habit of it, for the longest time they were passing beauty works off as Balmain (surprise surprise it's the extension brand we use), until someone let it slip to Balmain and they put a stop to it.
There will always be dishonesty in any industry I guess, but it doesn't make it any less infuriating!!! Lol

Just out of interest - how does this product perform against Niophlex? Thanks
Niophlex primary active ingredient is sodium laneth-40 maleate/styrene sulfonate copolymer and is classified as hair waving or straightening hair fixing film forming. With that being said, it will coat the hair. There is absolutely no basis in chemistry. Ethanolamine, the second ingredient, helps to form emulsions by reducing the surface tension of the substances to be emulsified so that water-soluble and oil-soluble ingredients can be blended together. Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) is used in the cosmetics and beauty industry as a binder, film former, emulsion stabilizer, suspending agent and hair fixative. In addition to these first three ingredients, you have multiple oils. At best, this will coat the hair.

This most likely is coming from the same company that did Cureplex as they share identical ingredient decks.

Thanks Ab, I can only assume that Mr P B is one of those salon unprofessionals as why else would you conduct yourself in this manner trying to aggravate fellow stylists and lying to your clients by saying that products like magibond are the same as Olaplex shows a complete lack of professional integrity and respect for our industry while the rest of us work hard to build each other up and to build our industry up. It means so much to me and all of us to have Olaplex representatives on our side and working so hard to keep the product professional only. Thank you all for always replying to our messages and maintaining a professional image at all times whether online or at hairshows, I know the reps of other companies have certainly not always paid you back the same respect. But as a stylist this puts you in even higher regard in my book, I will never use anything else and I've even given up using other products created by companies that have olaplex knockoffs because as far as I'm concerned these companies respect the dollar more than they respect the stylist and consumer and that is not acceptable any more. Thanks again, and if your looking for any UK based reps keep me in mind, I can't praise the product enough
Talk about "day maker" :) Thanks for that.

There is also a video I have if you'd like to PM me, it was submitted by a stylist in Denmark I can share with you to show the side by side.
