So yesterday I had my first ever paying client, I was a nervous wreck but she very nice thankfully. All I had to do was a polish change. The thing is her nails were very short, bitten to the point there was no free edge. While I believe the outcome was good, I'm worried that as I couldn't seal the edge that they won't last. How do you guys manage this or do you manage their expectations by telling them this may be an issue. ImageUploadedBySalonGeek1424761431.387185.jpg

Thanks in advance

Looks like you did a good job! What you can do when painting the (non existent) free edge is gently hold back the skin with your thumb and swipe the brush side to side instead of the normal up down motion. You can even hold the brush upside down so you avoid getting polish on the skin but still cap the edge.

That's more or less what I did. Phew! Thanks!

They look really lovely!

Hiya, you done a lovely job with those nails!

There are a couple of Fingernail fixer videos on you tube that explain how to do polish on nail biters and also short nails, I've copied the links below. Hope this helps. x
