Nope, way too expensive. You can get just the same, far cheaper than theirs.
 
You would have to hold a gun to my head to accept PayPal at all :)
I've lost work through not taking PayPal and I wouldn't change that.
 
I use Worldpay Zinc. I think £60 for the unit and 2.75% each transaction. You will need a smartphone though. The money is in your bank in 3 w. days.

I also use Pingit from Barclays. Money goes to the bank immediately. It is a free service and no fee. You and your client must have a smartphone with the Pingit app. And of course you need to register your bank account to send and receive money
