I'm just in the planning stage of opening my new salon and am thinking every treatment through from beginning to end.

With pedicures, I would like to do them whilst my client is comfortably positioned on the treatment bed. However, I have just bought a Beverly Hills Foot Spa (wonderful device!!) and would like to allow the client to soak their feet for longer than 2 mins at the start to get the full benefits.

This would involve my client sitting with their legs & feet to the side of the bed with no back support to relax their back on and so would make the experience uncomfortable.

Any suggestions as what to do??? I could always increase the soaking time but am aware of cost effectiveness of treatment time allowance.

Thanks

Is sit my client on a chair for the foot spa part and them move them to the couch. I put a large towel on the floor so they don't slip xxx

I invested in a super couch that fulfils all the treatments I offer in my salon, ie waxing, massage, facials and pedicures. The couch can have the client sat upright (fully supported back) and feet dangling over the end that drops to a 90 degree angle. I have a pedi trolley that my beverly hills foot spa sits on and the client can soak her feet for as long as I like. Once all the soaking and water part of the pedicure is done, I move the pedi trolley and raise the client (still in sitting position) upwards so that I can work on cuticle work and detailed work at a workable level. Perfect! The client is very comfortable and so am I.

As I said it was an investment, but well worth the expense.
