pedicure

i have my first pedicure this wk and dont want to take my couch with me i will take my parffin wax masked and little kitchen stoll. My concern is painting the nails as need to be flat so paint doent run in cuticle used to painting on my couch. any tips ?

Hi neet neet what i usually do it get the client to place there foot flat on my leg and paint the nails. Or if you have a stool with you, you could get the client to lay there foot flat on the stool and you would have to sit on floor. I never use my bed for pedicures I protected my trousers with a towel and get the client to place there foot on my leg. x

I suppose its about trying to keep a straight back and good posture but you get use to it. Do you not have them soaking there feet in a foot spa first and do the prep with client on a chair?

oh ok thanks ? i also wanted to know what to use on my clients cracked hell i will use my peg egg then mask and paffin wax but is thereany thing i could add in my treatment to help this problem area ?

Why don't you want to take the couch? I find it much easier and the client can just lie there and go to sleep! I would use a pedicure file rather than a ped egg as they are meant for individual use and also can cause damage if overused.

hey weezie how do you do your pedicure when using the couch? How tdo you soak your clients feet and when doing the exfoliation I put there feet back in to steep.

I do a foot scrub on first with them on a chair.

When I arrive the first thing I do before I set up is put them with their feet in a bowl to soak. Then set up the couch. I do the foot scrub next then get them to lie on the couch. This saves your back and makes them comfy.

I use a heated blanket on the bed and put a cover over them. This makes it much easier to see the heals for filing hard skin too. With clients with really bad heals I have in the past got them to lie on their tummies while I work on the heals.

I get them to bend their legs and put their feet flat on the couch for the polish. Everyone comments on how much nicer it is to lie down!
