how much is the normal percentage for renting a beauty room in hairdressers

It will depend on what is included in the rent.

I rented a room once at only 10%, that included rent, water, heat, lighting, phone, reception duties etc.

I also rented a table in a salon to do nails and paid 40% commision and got the same deal as above.

Anywhere upto 60% is paid. But again it would depend what you get. If they provide all your products, advertising, bills etc then anything up to 60% is usual.

If you are providing your own stuff then up to 40% should be expected.

Always negotiate and try and get the best deal for you. If its a really busy salon than you may be happier to pay more, than you would if its a new salon or a quiet one.

Hope this helps sorry if its not so specific.

hi hun,
i pay 20% commission for my room which works out really well for me. I have all my own stuff and don't get charged extra for reception taking bookings for me, water, elec etc. It works well for me coz if i have a quiet week i don't have to worry about paying a set price for rent.
