I am 30 years old and lately realised I have a dry scalp, I can scratch and instead of seeing flakes it is like a dry powder, but today I have seen a Doctor about my dry scalp getting that bad to the point where on certain points of my scalp (side/back mostly) it is like raised skin/flakes, which I can pick off in clumps but by picking the clumps, clumps of hair comes with it. I am also experiencing lots of hair loss when showering and brushing my hair.
Doctor said it is due to a dry scalp (she didn't examine my scalp for long at all) and said for me to use conditioner on my scalp when washing my hair for add moisture, is this correct? She said also try Head and Shoulders for dry scalp, will that help dry scalp and hair loss?
How else can I get moisture back into my scalp to stop it flaking and hair falling out so much?
