ok ive been using ezflow hd for a while now i love it and think my extensions look good and finally 99% of the time achieve great nails with no lifting or problems for weeks! but ive recently been on conversion for gel it! and am finding it a nightmare!

my actual application is good but the nails always seem wet(after using cleanse it) and when buffing over they literally will peel off! in bits! ive tried all usual lamp bulbs (its a new lamp) better prep, making sure i 'freeze' layers stage by stage for about minute and half just out of curiosity i cured them for nearly 10 mins at end still wet!

why is this am i doing something wrong? i also find they lift alot especially
when i do my own i can peel them off 2 mins after doing them! please can anyone help im thinking about just ditching doing gels and focus on my acrylic but clients are asking for gel overlays! and i also would like to achieve my ezflow masters eventually! please help am i being really stupid?

ps sorry for the essay!
hannah

Run us through your application step by step ie: sanitise, remove cuticle, remove shine etc etc.

ok well briefly i spray both mine and clients hands sanitiser i use orly one i remove all cuticle on nail surface and the remove shine wit fox file! i then use bonder x 2 coats then primer x 2 waiting for each one to dry in between then if im just usin overlay i put one v thin layer of clear in over whole nail missing skin then cap edge then use blush it over whole nail but make a smile line on edge with brush and 'freeze' in lamp for one minute

i then apply french it or edge it to tip of nail and make into good smile line again freeze it and then clear it over entire nail making sure im happy with structure of nail fully cure for 3-4 minutes. then shape and file nail with fox but this is when nails almost leak and peel off! am i doing something wrong? thought i was following by all jess` tips and ezflows procedures but maybe you`ve got more tips
thanks hanna

Send me your e-mail and I will send you some more notes on gel-it to see if it helps.

I have been using EZflow gel it and love it. The only problem I found was with the whites ( french it or white it) if you apply too thick of a layer it will not cure. It will appear to be cured but as soon as you take a file to it it begins to peel away in chunks. I have been putting very thin layers on and its been working wonderful.

my email address is [email protected] and that would be great if you could send me some more notes as i havent a cluen what else to do!

and thanks for tip nikkilove i do actually apply it quite thin as i thought if it was too thick it wont cure! did you have better luck with edge it then! i must admit when i use edge it, it will cure a little better but still peels off! but i wanna get full use of all the gels! sure ill get there in end HOPEFULLY

it sounds like you may be getting a gel sandwich........when using french it hunnio you need to apply in a v thin layer and then full cure........ as it is sooo pigmented to get the white looking so bright french it needs a 4 min cure... other wise the top layer cures but the underneath doesnt,..
ill try to give you a call this afternoon and we can hopefully iron out any more probs

as said by others, sounds as if you have the edge-it too thick.
Go thinner.

I love Gel-it!! Of all the gels' I've tried, it is the 'strongest'.

As for lift, you may not be using primer properly, or the gel is too close to the skin.

I personally don't like primer. 'Dripped' on my own skin once by accident and that was enough for me. Yes, I know caution etc.. but accidents happen, and an accident did. I'd much rather have an accident with protein bonder than with primer.

So I use a liquid protein bonder from another system (yes, bad girl) and a bonding gel (double teaming lol) for the real tough cookies and I get no lift.

Hope this helps.

Sorry took a while but have now e-mailed them to you
