Hi all

I have a client who has had enhancements by a NSS and now comes to me. She has had NSS enhancements for 4years and is now 5 months pregnant. The damage caused by the NSS is growing out well but is having problems with lifting and product not adhering to the nail plate, even with primer. Could the pregnany be a cause behind the lifting?

any ideas would be fab xx:green:

Depends what products you are using.

If you are using CND then pregnancy will have no affect at all on the product.

If using an ordinary acrylic and primer then yes, you could have lifting during pregnancy.

Why not oprder an inexpensive try me kit for Retention+ from CND 08452106060 and see the difference for your client.

Your PREP will be very important during this time.

I am 7 months pregnant and have worn both NSI gel & LP and INM gel through my pregnancy and have not experenced ANY lifting. I have however over my career as a nail tech had many pregnant clients and each person reacts differently. Some lift, some grow quickly, and some like myself see no change what so ever.

regardless of the product lifting can be due to hormornal changes

Not true.

CND Retention+ covalently bonds to keratin.

This bond to the keratin is not affected by hormonal changes at all. Keratin is keratin no matter what the state of ones hormones.

Hi
It does not matter what product you use!
Some ladies when pregnant do seem to have more oil on the nail plate.
I am not sure why this happens - but it happens quiet often.
I would make certain that I sanitise, dehydrate and prime really well.
I would also suggest she return for reballancing every 2 weeks.

Good luck
