pregnant can i dye my hair?

hi there,
im a nail tech and just found out im 8 weeks pregnant,i have a hair app on mon (i have bleech and a dark brown put in foils all over my hair) is this safe in early pregnancy im being told yes and no!!!
is it best to leave it till after 12 weeks or will it be ok?

different salons will have different feelings on this i would personally give them a call, as they may need to do another strand and skin test just to be on the safe side......if you ring them in the morning you could get your tests done well before your appointment hun.
there is actual no human data to say if hair dyes perms etc cause birth defects...results only go by animals being exposed to very high levels....so studies show it is pretty safe in the first trimester...but you do need to check with your salon
