PRS Licence?

Do you play the radio in your salon, do you have a PRS Licence? How much did it cost?

If you play purely your ipod, how does that work with copyright? I have been told you have to have a licence but I am rather aggreived at this being as a) I bought the ipod and therefore own it b) I bought the itunes on it therefore surely own those too??

its a nightmare hun you have to have prs and ppl licence! its about 80quid each per year. we play radio and cd's, but a guy rang me other day asking if i wanted to pay 30 a year, i couldnt do it cos we listened to radio and his only covered cd's, he was supposed to send me details through e mail but surprise nothing came, could've been a scam? maybe others can help out here x
