Hi all,

Has anyone had a client with dermatitus on their fingers, and the skin around the cuticle is swollen? A client of mine has it around her index and middle finger, and no matter how much prep or care in application of acrylic, just those two edges lift. I've asked if she applies any medicated cream and she does'nt. Any ideas what I can do?:irked:

Does she have , in fact, paronychia around the eponychium? If so, this area is always moist, hence the lifting problems.

If it were I, I would not take the product all the way to the eponychium, but melt it into the nail leaving a larger than normal free margin in that area. It wont make a problem as far a s strength and balance goes, as long as you maintain regularly. After all, the product only acts as an 'anchor' in this area and is not there for strength.
