Hi Geeks,

As some of you may know I run my own skincare business but I am not a therapist. I have been asked to part take in pampering evenings. What can I and cannot do in terms of applying the product onto someone elses' skin please? What are the rules? Obviously I cannot apply the products onto their face...can I?

Really appreciate your comments!

Why not just do a one day accredited facial course? That way you could get insurance and apply facial skincare products with no worries. You could also offer facials as an extra income.

Could you set up a table as a retail area and have samples for people to have a try of and then use your expertise to explain what all your lotions and potions are for, and the benefits of using them,
maybe print off small leaflets with the (basic) daily skincare routine that everyone should be using,
hopefully you should make some sales, hth

Thanks Joy,

I just googled it and an endless list of possibilities apeared on my screan...would you recommend any particular company? I am based in London but have family in Surrey...

Thanks again...
Jo

Thanks loubylou, great tips!

Well as I work for a training company it probably wouldn't be right for me to recommend one! As long as you go for something that is accredited, and a fairly decent sized company you should be fine.

I wondered whether anyone can point me in the right direction of any brands/places which offer these one day courses, or even short courses. I'm not in a position to take a full time beauty therapy course so am looking to train in different areas by taking some short courses, but need to ensure that they are accredited.
Any pointers would be much appresiated, thank you
Lou
