Hiya,

I am new to all of this so apologies if i have posted this in the incorrect forum!?

I am looking to enrol in a year long evening "Cosmetic Make Up - Foundation" course at a local college( I am based in coventry in the UK) does anyone know what I will actually be qualified to do if i do this course? It appears to cover manicures and pedicures. Would i be able to work in a salon? or mobile as a nail tehnician?

I would ideally like to do a beauty course so I would be able to become a nail technician and do waxing/facials etc - i work full time so am looking to do these courses in the evening. I have seen a lot of "one day" courses specialising in either nails or waxing etc but am a bit dubious about these?

Any information you have would be really appreciated. :)

Thank you.

Before embarking on a course, make sure that it is covered by your insurance company. Just give them a call with the name of the school and the qualification, and they will be able to tell you if you can get insurance for it before you start.
