Hi

Wondered if anyone could give me a bit of advice please?

For my wedding I decided to have racoon extensions fitted in a salon after a nightmare experience of having extensions fitted at home by another lady, which were taken out after a couple of days due to her errors.

Anyways, I went to a salon who said they would rectify what the other lady did, which was basically strip my hair of the colour which at the time I was using the XXL red home colours at home and then re-dye my natural colour which is just your normal brown and have extensions fitted to match. The original woman stripped my hair and dyed it but dyed it really dark, darker than I wanted but I went with it, then she colour matched my extensions by guessing, not actually using an extension colour chart! The extensions arrived, she fitted them in my home and then when I looked in the mirror they were about 3 shades lighter than my dyed hair! She then re-dyed my hair with the extensions twice, which then made the whole lot even darker, but it was still very patchy!! So in the end I asked for her to remove them as I wanted my money back, my hair was near on black! She did remove them, I got my money back and decided not to cut corners and go to a salon that specialises in Racoon Extensions.

Went to the new salon, who stripped my hair again and then gave it a peroxide bath and then coloured it the colour I wanted, colour matched the extensions and then fitted them, they looked perfect and I was so pleased, but within 4 days my own hair colour looked totally different to the extensions, bearing in mind it had only been washed once by the salon for its first wash. So they dyed it at the salon with a semi, and it looked ok in there but when I went out into the natural daylight it looked totally different, so went straight back in and said it wasn't right. They then put a permanent dye on it but still didn't really help, but I felt bad complaining again. 2 days before my wedding it looked awful again so they put another semi on it which helped and it looked ok ish on my wedding day but still wasn't great.
My honeymoon I spent with my hair plaited the whole time as I was so embarrassed that my hair was such a different colour to the extensions, so when I got back home I went back into the salon and they dyed my hair 2 shades darker with a gloss colour, which helped but it was more 5 shades darker as it was basically black!
Anyways this colour has lasted and even tho its faded it looks much better and blends well.
The problem I have is the condition. After 2 weeks of having them in the ends are really frizzy, and its split half way up the hair. I obviously complained about this after 2 weeks as I spent near on £800 for the hair and having them put in, the salon took a sample and said they would send it to racoon. Didn't hear anything so chased them up they said to come in again so they could take another sample 2 weeks later, which I did, still didn't hear from them, then I sent them another msg saying I think its taking the mick that its taken a month to hear anything from them, so the salon owner said she would contact them and surprise surprise they have not received both lots of hair!!! Was they sent to start with?? So she took yet another sample 5 weeks later and sent that off and racoon said its heat damage!!!
Now I'm sorry but it states that you can use heat on these extensions, and I use the straighteners every other day, I never dry my hair, I wash and plait it and then if I'm going out I will straighten it. I've paid for all the racoon products from the salon £70 worth infact and that's the only stuff I use on it. The hair is so split its embarrassing, friends are even commenting how bad it is.

The salon have said that racoon is offering me 30% off of new hair but I don't think that's good enough. I have paid £800 for hair to last me 7 weeks, which I have been complaining about the condition since week 2!!!

I have called racoon myself but they say they cannot deal with me due to confidentiality they have to speak to the salon, which I think is ridiculous!!

What can I do???
