Had anyone tried painting or customising this type of desk? I'm sick of looking at mine and the decor over the years has always had to match in some way...mine is years old but they are still sold today and are expensive...so I would rather try and revamp this before going to the expense of replacing...any ideas welcome, I'm scared to just paint in case it just flakes off and looks worse.

Have you thought about using vinyl?

There is a company in Facebook that claims to stick any design to anything
It's called cre8 world

Maybe they could make you something to cover it?

I'm sure Annie Sloan paint says it will go over anthing. There are loads of different colours avaialble that you could choose from too.

Annie Sloan and other chalk paints claim they can be used straight on furniture but I think when it comes to the plastic laminate coatings like your I would lightly sandpaper just to be sure it won't flake 😊
