Renting a room legal side

I am Looking to rent a room, but have no idea what I need. I am qualified, obviously will need insurance and to declare myself self employed. But will I need to apply for a licence? Get health and safety checks? Or will be salon owner (hair or beauty) have to deal with that? Appologise if this has been previously discussed I can't seem to find it. If someone could post a link o a thread or let me know I'd be so great ful. Tha ks in advance xx

At the salon I rent a room from the salon owner has everything
I just supply insurance, employers liability and registered myself self employed
You should ask them what they have
