Hi Geeks,
Does anyone know if you can register as self employed if you are renting at house. I wont be using the house for treatments as i will be doing them mobile?
Thanks

Do you mean, register with the Inland Revenue that you are self employed? If so, yes, you need to do it wherever you live, you are legally obliged to, and you need to set up self employed national insurance contributions.

Sorry if I have misunderstood tho'

Sorry i meant do i tell the rental agency that i am setting up a mobile beauty business and using the address that i rent?
I know you are not allowed to use the property as a business but i wont be having clients at home.

So you'll be using the address on yell.com etc?

I personally wouldn't tell the agent BUT I'm not sure I'm giving you the best advice

you are legally obliged to inform the lettings agent, even if no client ever somes to you, it is still a change of use, plus it's only polite! lol x
