I'm about to put an order in with Beauty Express since its vat free day.

I love Carmex and was thinking it would be a nice product to sell. Looking at the prices for a box it doesn't look like you'd profit especially when I've googled it and you can buy a pot cheaper elsewhere than what they sell it for

Does anyone sell this?

Carmex is brilliant but I think you've answered your own question really. It's easily obtainable online leaving you with very little profit for the ones you do sell.

At the end of the day you don't want to end up with dead stock because people can just go and buy this item from Boots, Superdrug or any chemist or supermarket

If you want to retail a lip balm does your skincare supplier sell one? Something that people can't get on the high street? The problem with these kind of branded products is people know where they can get them cheaper.
